Why Butterflies?
Whatever the reason, most humans like me have a soft spot in our hearts for butterflies.
My weakness. They are the most beautiful insect and wherever they “land” , they’ll add an amazing splash of colour.
From brooches to bangles to rings to notebooks to folders to screensavers to wallpapers to bedsheet to clothes, whatever it is, I will always look out for butterflies motifs. Even my blogskins, from the past to present, it has always been butterflies.
Poets and writers have found inspiration in the delicacy and freedom of butterflies.
So next time you see a butterfly , that is the creature that has given much inspiration to many poets and writers to produce nice , romantic stuffs.
How is love like a butterfly? Both are soft and gentle as a sigh. Love flutters like soft wings in flight, as does a butterfly. And both love and butterflies are rare and gentle things. Everything is beautiful when one is in love, just like the wings of butterfly. Beautiful colours. Indeed, butterflies are one of nature's most romantic creatures, even though they are insects!
I recently read an article on butterflies that says , butterflies are attracted to blues, lavenders, pinks and some yellows.
And yes, those are my favorite colours.
See, that’s WHY I’m so into butterflies
Not only that ,but butterflies also is a sign of hope for me to develop myself to have greater inner beauty and eventually freedom , its a comforting thought to me and many other butterflies lovers.
My life too is somewhat similar to the life cycle of a butterfly.
First Stage- Egg
Butterflies :- Most butterflies will lay their eggs on the leaves of a particular plant that the caterpillar will feed on after it hatches from the egg and just leave it there to hatch. The eggs can have many shapes depending on the species. Some eggs are round and some eggs are long.
Myself :- I was taught to be independent, being the only child in the family after the death of my sister, I was left alone most of the time. Leaving me to play and study by myself.
Second Stage- Larva
Butterflies :- When the egg hatches the larva or caterpillar will emerge. The caterpillar is a juvenile butterfly
Soon after hatching the caterpillar will get to work and start eating and eating and eating and eating.
In fact, that's all caterpillars pretty much do. Caterpillars will eat so much that they grow very quickly.
After a few weeks time, the caterpillar will reach a certain size. When this happens its time to pupate.
Myself :- This is the time when I was sent to school and right after puberty, I start to eat and eat and eat. Im a fan of junk food and what not.
This is also when I stopped growing vertically and start to grow horizontally like nobody’s business.
Every single day then, there was always a new discovery about people. Falling in and out of love adds colours to my days.
Third Stage- Pupa
Butterflies :- This causes the caterpillar to stop eating and start looking for a site to pupate. Most caterpillars will look for a hiding spot where predators can't find them. When they find a suitable spot, usually under a leaf, the caterpillar will spin a small pad of silk to attach itself to. Some caterpillar species hang from their head and some species hang with their head down. A caterpillar have small wing pads inside its back under the exoskeleton, but it's not until they pupate that the wings start to grow. After a few weeks, the butterfly will emerge.
Myself :- doing my Diploma
I had to educate myself to be more independent and start to think and decide as an adult.
Make own decisions when I reached certain crossroads.
Which at times, left me hanging and blank as what to be done / who to confide in and consoling me
And at some times, im like a “lalang” . Swaying in the wind.
Fourth Stage- Adult
Butterflies :- Then, the butterfly has reached its adult stage. The butterfly can now fly away and search for food.
Now, the adult butterfly can search for a mate and a whole new generation of butterflies can be produced that will go through these same life stages.
Myself :- Graduated and started on my career path.
Working to support my mum and me.
The sole breadwinner in the family and waiting for the Mr Right after meeting many wrong ones

Sensitive
. easily pained, annoyed, etc.
. having acute mental or emotional sensibility; aware of and responsive to the feelings of others.
Every human on earth has a basic sensitivity feeling, that enables them to grow-up and survive in this world.
Sensitive souls feel they do not belong in this real world, they feel uncomfortable, unsettled and find it difficult to adjust to the world. This is because they still have deep emotions and memories of previous lifetimes embedded in their soul.
I may not be the most sensitive person in the world. But, I am a sensitive person. It works for me and against me .
Turning 27 this year , something clicked in my head, and the process of becoming a near to 30 adult made me take an intense look around me. As I looked into my life, I found myself in an unsettled situation ,too easygoing, lazy, sensitive and a self-esteem pitfall. My habit to bottle up all my feelings (because they were just too intense for anyone to understand) has created quite a mess now. Struggling with knowing and accepting how I feel
At times , I find myself wondering why it is so difficult to live in such a beautiful world, why my emotions control my life, kept asking why I am not getting what I want. Closed ones are always reminding myself that I am a deep thinker and perhaps taking things too personally and seriously. What can I say? I refused to blame this on my past upbringing. How much I yearn to have someone to guide me on this road through life, to teach me the golden rules of life and to help me with the choices I have to make when reaching at certain crossroads in life. Now I turn to positive thinking, learning to always forgive and pray.
Being a sensitive soul myself, I find it extremely important to take care of other people’s feelings to the extent of going along with whatever they say/request from me
Which left me to think of myself , last
When I get too sensitive though, people often mistake me for being too childish and a pain in the neck, not wanting to be even 5 metres near me
Many a times , when sensitive people are put down for expressing their feelings, they may find that their feelings heighten because they feel invalidated and unheard and depressed without knowing why; their lives may look good on the outside but they feel empty or unfulfilled because they are cut off from their emotions.
Now I discover that there is no doubt that, at some point of time , all we need is to express our feelings and to be heard. Yet it is also true that not everyone can hear our feelings, or wish to. Even when people want to listen they may want to decide when and how much they can listen to at any one time. This is something hard to deal with and eventually caused one to feel a sharp tinge of pain in the heart especially if you've recently learned that it's good to talk about your feelings. You may feel silenced or controlled by not being able to talk about your feelings.
I have learned that, as a highly sensitive person, I must always have a safe outlet for my emotions. Be it writing, talking or thinking, a tool to express my feelings is essential to a healthy and happy life.
So here I am… blogging abt whatever it is that comes to mind.

When you're tired and worn at the close of day
And things just don't seem to be going your way,
When even your patience has come to an end,
Sometimes all that we really need is to just be heard
listened to in a caring way. I don't need to be fixed.
I don't want the other person to try and make me feel better.
I don't want them to be analytical, practical, or to pass judgement.
I may not necessarily even want their advice.
I just want to be heard and to not feel so alone with my issues.
Someone I can lean on.
Someone who will care for me and take the time to listen to me and understand me.
Sounds cheesy
but Someone to listen to what I actually wanted to say / share
ppl are getting more selfish nowadays
Does it take lots of effort to just stop and listen? will it burn you out ?
or is it such a hassle to listen?
